Bringing Hope and Healing to Remote Places - a review
Because of the open-handed generosity of our donors and a significant partnership with Christ Apostolic Church, we were able to be exceedingly generous to communities across Ibadan, Nigeria this March. Your gifts paid for boxes of vaccines, antimalarial tablets, blood-pressure cuffs, sacks of rice, beans and clothing —and for the fuel that carried our team to villages rarely reached by regular healthcare services. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for turning compassion into action.
What we did, and why it matters.
Immunisations
We provided vital immunisations for children and adults to give them a better chance of longer, stronger lives.
Antimalarial Medication
Malaria still takes lives in these areas of Nigeria. It was our delight to be able to provide anti-malarial medication to residents to protect them against malaria in all its forms.
FREE Medical Check-Ups
As healthcare is a sparse resource, we provided general health checks, treating what we could.
- Blood pressure
- Blood sugar
- Widal test
- Malaria test
In a few instances, hypertensive emergencies cases were referred to the tertiary centres.
Providing Food Security
We gave out essentials food items – rice, oil and more to countless individuals as we moved around the region.
Clothing
Alongside food and health care, we were able to provide fresh clothing items to those who attended, improving hygiene and security for all. From youngest to oldest, there was anough for everyone to receive basics.
Sharing Hope
As people stayed and received treatment, care and food, we shared the Good News of Jesus, leading some to follow Him, and we had opportnity to pray with a great many, including those we could not provide specific medical or financial care for.
Meet the Heroes Behind the Stethoscopes
As you scan through the photos, you’ll see we had a team of medical professionals giving of their time, skills and energy to provide the care and supplies for the medical mission. We are so grateful for each of these volunteers – in so many way, they are the unsung heroes of our work!
Could you join us on our next mission?
If you’re a **doctor, nurse, pharmacist, lab tech, nutritionist, counsellor, or a willing pair of hands with a teachable spirit ** then we would love to talk! The work is demanding, but the joy is even greater.

A final thanks:
Whether you prayed, gave, or cheered us on from afar, you were part of every heartbeat charted and every meal shared. We can’t wait to show you what’s next.
