A day of unexpected stories!
Health poverty exists in the UK, like anywhere else. Recently, Dr Victor and his wife Augustina (a pharmcist) were invited to host a stall for their pharmacy at Raunds Mayor’s Show.
Generosity
On the day Dr Victor has his wife Augustina (a pharmacist) provided free blood pressure checks, and ear wax tests for anyone who wanted one.
These are often available in doctors surgeries too, but given how difficult it is to get an appointment for many nowadays, we saw dozens of people from for a free check.
Emergency Treatment
For some saying yes to free test was the best decision they made that day!
We referred one individual to A+E as their blood pressure was so high – what a relief that the came forward for a free check!
